Big news! We have a new name, Kids Neuroscience Centre, and a new brand identity to reflect our mission to drive excellence in paediatric health.

While our name has changed, our vision to improve the lives of children affected by muscle, nerve and brain disease through cutting-edge translational research remains the same.

Formerly known as the Institute of Neuroscience and Muscle Research, our team has helped more than 4000 families with rare neurological conditions since our inception in 1999 by Emeritus Professor Robert Ouvrier AO. We proudly continue his legacy under our new name.

The new banner of Kids Neuroscience Centre brings together ideas of a centre: a place where science and research intersect for children with life-limiting neuromuscular conditions. A place where kids are central to everything we do.

As we officially launch the Kids Neuroscience Centre, we are excited and inspired by the possibilities that continued research promises the children in our care.

Read about our latest breakthroughs, dedicated team, clinical services, research opportunities and ways you can make a difference to sick kids at our new online home, www.kidsneuroscience.org.au.

The Kids Neuroscience Centre is a flagship of Kids Research, the research division of Sydney Children's Hospitals Network.
