This month, the Parramatta Sun published an article about a recent breakthrough in identifying an autoantibody in some brain disorders.

Associate Professor Brilot-Turville, said "There’s a group of diseases of the brain which effect the myelin, the white matter around the nerves in the brain. These diseases are cousins to Multiple Sclerosis and identifying the biomarker means that affected patients can receive treatment that is tailored for their condition."

It is hoped this leads to better patient outcomes and increased savings for the healthcare system.
